Describe a difficult situation you were in and how you overcame it?
In 2009, I was struck by a car when I was crossing the street. Being healthy and fit definitely helped protect my body from catastrophic injuries. I focused on healing my body in the best way possible. I spent a year rehabbing my injuries and gained such incredible gratitude for feeling strong, fit, and healthy. Then, I made the choice to begin running and training for races. I run because it makes me feel strong and empowered. I compete because I love to see how far I can push myself. Not a day goes by that I am not extremely grateful.
What are your goals for the future?
Professionally, my goals are to expand the reach of my business and connect with others in the field, so that we can collaborate and effect an even greater change in the overall health of our communities.
